Why do people have therapy?

There are many different reasons people choose to seek therapy. It may be that you are struggling
with anxiety, depression, difficult thoughts, feelings or behaviours, or distress due to past

It may not be that you want therapy for major life crisis. Stand alone or a small number of sessions
may be useful to reflect on what is happening for you and think about a way forward.
Things may be happening in your life involving relationships and you may want to bring a partner or
family member with sessions helping to facilitate communication working through difficulties.
