What to expect

First Appointment

Your initial session will be an assessment session (face to face or online) to find out more about you and what has led you to consider therapy. We will also consider what type of intervention would be
most helpful. This is a collaborative process in which we consider together how best to proceed. It can be difficult to seek help so it is essential that you feel comfortable with your therapist to be able
to work on difficulties. This is an opportunity for you to decide whether you think this feels right for you.

Sessions can be face to face or online. I provide evidence-based interventions for psychological problems as recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Health Excellence (NICE). I offer
various therapies including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing. Therapy sessions can be short
term or long term and can be with individuals, families or groups.

Wednesdays at The Matlock Therapy Centre or Online, sessions between 8am-2pm
